Intro

Construction is a skill for building houses. Construction is a very expensive skill that at least requires 200k to start (can get you to around lvl 30). If you want to train high you need milions.

Note if you die in your house, you’ll lose no items.

Getting started

Items required

When constructing something you always need a hammer and a saw. It’s best to start with some planks and nails.

Estate agents

Going to the Estate agents is the first step in construction. Go to one of the Estate agents (best is Falador since it’s close to rimmington where your first house will be located) and buy a house for 1k.

  • Varrock Estate agent - north of East bank and east of Varrock palace.
  • Falador Estate agent - south of Falador park
  • Seers Village Estate agent - north-east of Seers Village bank
  • Ardougne Estate agent - nort-west of Ardougne bank

Later the Estate agent can provide you with more options like redecorating your house and moving it. More info here.

Moving to you house

After you bougth your house go to rimmington or use house teleport that requires 40 magic and 1 air, 1 law and 1 earth rune. Later you can relocate your house more info about that here.
At rimmington you’ll see a large portal click on it and it will give you some options:

Option Use
Go to your house This will teleport you to your house. Now people can visit your house. More about normal mode here.
Go to your house (building mode) You’ll be able to build in your house. No one can visit your house when you are in building mode. More about building mode here.
Go to a friend’s house Your friend needs to be in his/her house (not in building mode) and not locking people out of his/her house.

Building

Go into your house in building mode. When you are in your house but not is building mode go to player options (next to game options and jukebox), click on house options and turn building mode on. If you have a bank pin you first need to fill it in (unless you filled it in earlier this login session).
Start with building a room. Click on one of the transparent doors to build a room. When you build a room you can build furniture in it on the transparant version of the item. (when you’re not in building mode you can’t see the transparant version)

When you build a room it’s time to put something in it click on one of the transparant versions of the furniture and click on ‘build’. A Furniture Creation Menu will appear. Click the furniture you want to make this will take a sec. but it can take long when using nails because you fail a lot.
