New maps

It’s been a long time since we’ve last released anything new to the site. This is partly because I’ve been working on integrating a content management system to the site. As part of this project the maps page has been reworked and since almost all our old maps were outdated we’ve removed those and we’ve added some new maps Draynor Sewers, Ice Dungeon and Crandor and Karamja Volcano Dungeon. Credit goes to TommyBurke for making these wonderful maps.

While Guthix Sleeps quest guide and more

Today we’ve reached another milestone. I’ve added the While Guthix Sleeps quest guide by Pafman to the site. This is a very important guide for us since it’s the hardest quest in the game.

A power grows in the north, and an efficient spy network reports all that transpires to its master. The long, dark fear buried in the back of everyone’s mind is starting to grow. That which was once overlooked has now become hard to ignore.

For what nefarious purpose are there spies in Draynor?
Exactly what is Movario looking for in the Lumbridge Swamp caves?
What of the ancient power of the Mahjarrat and the dragonkin? Has something been missed?
The ancient powers of the gods - where did it come from, and what would happen if a mortal could tap its power?

Any interested parties should contact Radimus Erkle for what may prove to be the most challenging experience of their entire career.

In other news: We’ve also added the Missing my Mummy by Pafman and Spirits of Elid by Joost quest guides to the site. There is also a video for the Spirits of Elid quest coming.

Swept Away quest guide and video

Today I’ve released a new quest guide and with it the first RuneTower video guide. I’ve decided to try out video guides for RuneTower. Currently you can only view this video on YouTube: Swept Away video walkthrough, but I’ll be working on something to display the video on the quest guides page. However I’m not really sure how I want to implent this yet. Of course we also have the normal Swept Away quest guide. Please add a comment on the news post, youtube or on the forums about what you think of runescape video guides.

Maggie the travelling witch is cooking up something spectacular in her cauldron, but she needs a little help finishing it off. If you can help her out - and solve a puzzle or two along the way - she just might share some of the final product with you.

Swan Song walkthrough and quest guide page updated

I’ve just released the Swan Song quest guide by myself. Also the quest guide page has been updated to include more information. You can now sort quests on difficulty, length, quest points and name.

Out on the edge of the known world, the Piscatoris Fishing Colony stands on the brink of disaster. Angry sea trolls are emerging from the sea and attacking the colonists, preventing them from harvesting the valuable monkfish that live in those waters. A highly experienced adventurer will be needed to drive back the trolls for good.

The Colony’s director, Herman Caranos, has a particular adventurer in mind: the notoriously amoral Wise Old Man of Draynor Village (allegations of his involvement in a spectacular bank robbery have never been substantiated).

If you’re in the mood for a bit of combat, jump on the boat on the west side of the Gnome Stronghold, speak to the Colony’s director and prepare to fight alongside the Wise Old Man as he embarks on his final adventure - his Swan Song.

In other news: I’ve changed the way related links of quests are displayed, since we already have more than 110 quest guides it was getting really crowded so I decided to show only a small set of quests.

‘Queen of Varrock seeks experienced gardener to help construct a garden of peace and serenity as surprise for husband.

Only serious farmers need apply. Peasants welcome (although not that welcome). Tools not supplied. Please note: under no circumstances are the contents of this message to be disclosed to Rollie - um, one means King Roald.’

In other news: I’ve updated the Creature of Fenkenstrain quest guide with new pictures and maps.

Perils of Ice Mountain Quest Guide

The Perils of Ice Mountain Quest Guide by TommyBurke has been added to the site.

The dwarves of the Dwarven Mine have built the latest marvel of dwarven engineering: a machine to automatically make pickaxes for the many miners. In order to supply energy for this machine, they have commissioned a new power station on the slopes of Ice Mountain.

Projects of this scale are never without their problems, though. A hapless dwarf delivering resources to the power station has lost part of his delivery and any adventurer who helps him is bound to find more problems to solve.

All Fired Up Quest Guide

I’ve just released the All Fired Up quest guide, check it out.

Over the years, the kingdoms of Asgarnia and Misthalin have become increasingly uncomfortable about the possibility of threats from the Wilderness and Morytania. King Roald has taken matters into his own hands and he has commissioned a network of beacons to be built across the land, from the Temple of Paterdomus at the border of Morytania, along the northern borders of Misthalin and Asgarnia and up along the western border of the Wilderness. The communication network is already in place, but King Roald could use a little help making sure everything is ready to go, in the event of emergency….

New Quest Guide and Costume Competition

A guide for RuneScape’s newest quest, In Pyre Need has just been added to the site. So if the thought of having to complete this rewarding quest has been getting you a little hot under the collar lately, then this should prove to be a great help.

In other news, we have decided to start off the new year with a bang by organising a costume competition with some great rewards for the winners, including free RuneScape Gold and Items, and the winning costumes being featured on the front page.

To be in with a chance, simply sign up on our forums by clicking here, and submit your costume before the 15th January. Winners will be chosen by members of our community, and announced on the 1st January.

For more information, read this topic.

Note: we’re experiencing some problems with some site stealing our bandwidth and this could slow down loading times.
