Before even attempting any of this please have at least 2.1M gp and your p2p.
So you have 5m gp and your ready to hit the world. Crticize my methods all you want but when you make 16mil or more in one week like I did you will be happy.
REAMEMBER MERCHANTING TAKES PATIENCE AND TIME!!
With your 2.3mil buy a dragon sq shield you can get between 2.1 and 2.2. Sell this drag sq for 2.3 just sit in fally market and make some posts on forums you will get a buyer.
Another idea for your starting money is buy drag legs at 2.6 go on forums sell for 2.8m cash.
Or else if you have 2.9m. Then you can use whips try to buy them for 2.8m and selling for 2.9m.
Once you get up to about 6.5m Look at the god armors and track the prices buy for example full verac for 6.2 sell for 6.5-6.7.
This is a quick way of making money. Keep doing all these methods until you can buy a phat then you are with the BIG BOYS.
Here I'am going to lay out the current prices for phats of course these go up and down as does everything else but at least you get an idea of what I'm talking about.
Purp - Buy: 70-80 - Sell: 90-100
Yellow - ?
Green - ?
Red - ?
White - ?
Blue - Buy: 170-190 - Sell: 190-220
? = We don't know the current prices.
So your going to start with a purple. Easy enough buy 70 from desperate sellers (with purple these are easy to find) you gotta think purple phat sellers are just like you new to the market and one little whisper of phats going down and them losing ALL their money makes them sell for alot less. So buy these 70. Sell for 90-100 using market and forums.
So you have worked your way up to yellow. Congrats. Yellow party hats you are still dealing with noobs remember this and them being the least popular color to have is even easier. This is simple buy ?.
Green Phat at this stage you might as well stick to yellow for profit margins Green you can only make ? off of buy ? sell ? with yellow your at least making 1 mil though it takes a bit longer to sell.
Woohoo Red! Now if you want to stop here that is fine but after all the money you have been making why? Red's are excellent investments since around christmas they skyrocket everyone wants a red phat. These are owned by people with money and know how to play remember that when dealing. Here you can make a good profit You can buy these for ? and sell for ?. You are more likely to get for ? though so be weary and don't push for ?.
A White! Wow congrats now your really getting noticed in Fally market. White phats are great things to merchant and much easier then blues. You can find a desperate white seller at 34-35m! They don't have nearly enough for blue and probably need money for a drag chain or something take advantage of this. With white phats you will be offered lot's of items do not hesitate to take these! Item offers usually total up to be over 40M!!! That is 5-6 mil profit for you! Just sell these items and your on your way to a blue phat!
A Blue Phat! Yes you are now truly 1337
Do not merchant a blue. Do not buy a blue until you have 5m extra to start all over again. Sure you can buy for 170-190 and sell for 190-220 but you are dealing with hard merchants that truly know the game so don't bother. Stick to the white phats or retire from fally market with your blue. That's what I did.
5 golden rules.
1. Always post on forums for phats
2. Always be in fally market at the same time
3. Watch prices closely
4. Watch big merchants and listen for any tips they may be giving. For example R2pleasent is on vacation for 2-3 weeks. When he comes back Phat prices are going up because he is hording with stevenxu.
5. Bargain Bargain Bargain. It took me 3 hours once to work a guy down from my offer and I only went up 100k on the deal but I got my blue phat =)
