| Start: Meet with King Vargas on the island of Miscellania. |

| Items: Some cash, iron bar, woodcutting axe, pickaxe, harpoons/lobster pot and an unenchanted ring with a gem in it. Male characters will need a bow (any bow, you'll not get it back) and Female characters will need a cake. |
Quests: Heroes Quest and The Fremennik Trials |
| Skills: Any of these skills 45 Woodcutting, 35 Fishing, 35 Herblore or 30 Mining |

Go to Rellekka and talk to the Sailor north of the market. Take a boat trip to Miscellania.

Walk to the west of the island and go inside the castle take the stairs to go upstairs. Try to go through the door to the room in the center of the building. A guard will stop you, you can enter after telling him that you're a member of the Heroes guild.

Talk to King Vargas, he'll tell you that he has been cursed so he can no longer be the ruler of Miscellania, tell him you'll be a good ruler for Miscellania. Before you can become the ruler of Miscellania you need to show him you're capable in Diplomacy.

Now talk to Advisor Ghrim and ask him how to make peace with Etceteria, he'll tell you to talk to Queen Sigrid of Etceteria.

Making Peace
Go to Etceteria to the east and go upstairs in the building and talk to Queen Sigrid. Before Queen Sigrid wants peace she wants Etceteria to be recognized as a sovereign nation.

Go back to King Vargas, he'll tell you that Etceteria should change their national anthem. Go back to Queen Sigrid and she'll tell you to search for a bard to write a new national anthem.
Go back to Miscellania, go upstairs and talk to Prince Brand. He'll write a national anthem for Etceteria. Go to Advisor Ghrim and let him correct the anthem for you. Go back to Queen Sigrid and she'll give you a peace treaty which should be signed by King Vargas.

Now go to King Vargas and talk to him, but he'll tell you to get a bigger pen. Go downstairs and go to the northeast of the castle, to the house with the anvils.

Talk to Derrik and tell him that you have a slightly strange request, he'll ask for an iron bar and if you have one with you he'll make a giant nib for you. Now you need to use a log on the giant nib, if you don't have a log or an axe with you then you should go to the bank to the east to get one.
Go back to King Vargas and give him the giant pen to sign the peace treaty. He'll tell you to gain support from the townspeople.
Getting support from the townspeople
You can gain support by doing the following things:
- Go to Gardener Gunnhild, buy a rake from her and use the rake on the patch.
- Mining coal from the mine located north of the castle at Miner Magnus.
- Chopping maple trees to the east of the castle at Lumberjack Leif.
- Fishing lobsters and tuna from the port at Fisherman Frodi.
You'll need to obtain a 75% approval rating, you can check your approval rating by talking to the persons where you can gain support. Once you have 75% support go to King Vargas and talk to him.
Getting Married
Depending on your gender you need to marry Princess Astrid or Prince Brand. First talk to Advisor Ghrim for advice.

Male: If you're a male you need to marry Princess Astrid. Buy some flowers outside from the flower girl (15 gp). Talk to the Princess, then dance and then talk to her again. Then bow for her, talk to her again and then give her the flowers. Talk to her until she repeats herself, then give her your bow. If she calls you dear then use the blow kiss emote to her. Use your ring with the princess to marry her.
Female: If you're a female you need to marry Prince Brand. Buy some flowers outside from the flower girl (15 gp). Talk to the Prince, until he's repeating himself then give him the flowers. Then dance and clap for him and then talk to him again until he repeats himself. Give him the cake and then continue until he repeats himself. Then use blow kiss to him and give him the engagement ring.
Once the princess/prince agrees to marry you then go to King Vargas and talk to him to complete the quest.
