Lumbrigde, located south of Varrock, is often cald 'the newbie town' because of the all the new players hanging around here. After finishing the Tutorial Island you will spawn here and find your way trough the world of runescape.

1. Windmail
Just north-west of Lumbrigde lies a windmail, which is used to turn grain into flour. With the flour you can make dough by using some water with it. Dough is the basic ingrdient of many food in runescape. This windmail is Close to a grain field so easy is use.
2. Lumbrigde farm
Just north of Lumbrigde lies Fred's farm, a local farmer with some sheep and chicken. At the Farm you can kill chickens and shear the sheep. You can also start the Sheep shearer quest.
3. Furnace
Probably one of the less favourite smelting spot because the big distance between any bank of anvil. Though there are many new players using this furnace because it is in there hometown lumbrigde.
4. Chicken farm.
North of Lumby is a small farm with lots and lots of chickens. Many new players train here to raise there level, but also a lot of better players and members come here. But there are there for the feathers: most of the chicken drop between 5 and 15 feathers which can be sold for 5 until 10 gp each. Members use the feathers for making arrows.
5.Cows.
Next to the chicken farm is a large field full of cows. This is also a crouded with new players training there skill. Because the cows drop cowhide, which can be sold for 50 until 100 gp each, this is also a good spot for making money in the lower levels.
6. General store.
Lumbrigde also has his own general store where you can buy the basic items or sell what ever you want.
7. Fishing spot.
What will a river be without fish? This is why jagex also planted some fishing spots next to the river Lum which floods trough Lumbrigde. The spot is for bait- and lure-fishing.
8. Lumbrigde tutors.
In 2006 jagex Placed some helping Tutors in Lumbrigde to help the new players. Spread over whole Lumbrigde several 'helping-npcs' are located. Every npc can help you with a his/her skill or for main info you can ask Phileas: the oldest man in Lumbrigde which knowns everything about runescape.
9. Al-kharid Gate.
Just east of Lumby lies the desert-city Al-Kharid, between the two towns is a gate. The pass through the gate you should give the guards 10gp or finished the Prince Ali resque quest, which will give you free entrance.
10. Lumbrigde castle.
In the middle of Lumbrigde stands the Lumbrigde castle. In the castle you can cook, spin wool and fight. Also some quest can be done here like:Rune Mysteries
and Cook's Assistant . Also the Duke of Lumbrigde is located here.
11. Lumbrigde church.
East of the castle you will find the church of father Aereck. Here you can restore your prayer and start the Restless ghost quest.
12. Graveyard.
Next to the church you will find the graveyard. On the graveyard stand a yew tree and you will find the ghost of the Restless ghost quest in the tomb.
13. Axe shop.
West of the church you find the axe shop where you can sell and buy all you axes: from bronze upto mithril. You can also repair you axe here when broken.
14. Lumbrigde swamp.
South of the town are the Lumbrigde swamp, this is a big swamp full of rats.
15. East mining spot.
At the south-east corner of the swamp a small mining spot is located. Here are 5 copper rocks and 5 tin rocks to be found.
16. Water rune altar.
In the middle of the swamps you can find the water rune altar. At this altar you can craft water runes of rune essences by using the runecrafting skill. To enter you will need a water tiara or a water talisman.
17. West mining spot.
At the south-west corner of the swamp another mining spot is located. Here are 7 coal, 5 mithril and 2 adamantite rocks to be found.
18. Yew spot and farming patch.
In the forest west of lumby are 4 yew tree to be found and next to general store is a farming patch.
