The KBD’s lair IS IN a multi combat area, so be cautioned before you enter: This Creature is NO JOKE with a max of 25 with Melee and 25+ with magic. You must be careful if going alone!
(It is highly recommended that you bring a team of at least 3 level 80+)
Melee is strongly suggested when going to the KBD. Magic does not hit very well (Dragon hide skin) on the KBD. Range is something you almost can’t do, doesn’t hit very well, if you’re bringing a bow you have to drink anti fire pots which only last 5 minutes. There are different sets you can bring if meleeing in KBD.
You Can bring:
Rune Plate & legs
Any kinds of helm (optional)
Magic amulet (for mage protection)
Any kind of boots (optional)
Any kind of gloves (optional)
Anti Dragon shield (A MUST!)
A good weapon (DD(P++) up to Abyssal Whip)
Good food
At least 2 prayer potions, depending on your Prayer.
And then put on Protection from mage, so you have a balance of Magic Defence and Melee defense.
You can also bring:
Dragon Hide chaps and chest-plate
Power amulet and over
Helm (optional)
Any kind of boots (optional)
Any kind of gloves (optional)
Anti Dragon Shield (A MUST)
A Good weapon
Good food
At least 2 prayer potions depending on you’re your prayer.
The entrance to the KBD is in level 43 wilderness next to the lesser demons. Go down the stairs. Poison Spiders guard the lever. Turn protect from magic on. Pull the lever in the spider lair to teleport to KBD’s lair.
Now you want to surround the KBD with your team so that he hits less on a lot of you. Have fun with the KBD!
ONE FINAL WARNING ABOUT SOLOING: If you are really determined to solo the King Black Dragon then be very careful or you might just end up like me last time I tried that..
