Horror from the Deep

Required:

Items: 2 planks, 60 steel nails, hammer tinderbox, swamp tar, molten glass. Also you need 1 air rune, 1 earth rune, 1 fire rune, 1 water rune, a sword (any kind) and an arrow (any kind), these items cannot be returned after the quest. For the fight with the boss you need food, good armor, runes and a bow with arrows.	Skills: 35 agility and having a high ranging, magic and prayer lvl is a great advantage.
Monster encounters: Lvl 100 Dagannoth mother

Items to take this part: 2 planks, 60 nails, hammer, tinderbox, swamp tar, molten glass, 1 air , fire, earth, and water rune, 1 sword and 1 arrow.

Start by going to the lighthouse, which is west from Relleka and north from Barbarian outpost. If you come from the barbarian outpost you have to jump on basalt rocks to get there. If you come from Relleka (or Seers village) you have to jump over a broken bridge.

Near the lighthouse you can find Larrisa, talk to her. She needs your help with her missing Boyfriend. But you will need to do 3 things first.
1.Fix the broken bridge
2.Get the key from the lighthouse
3.Fix the lighthouse

Fixing the bridge

Go to the broken bridge west of the lighthouse.

Use you’re planks with the broken bridge and you will be able to go over the bridge normally.

Getting the key from the lighthouse

Go south from the lighthouse and jump across over the basalt rocks (you can fall and loose some health)

Go to the barbarian outpost to the south west and enter the gate (must have Barcrawl completed). Go through the pipe and talk to Gunnjorn at the agility course.

He will give you the key. Now return to the lighthouse.

Fixing the lighthouse:

Use your key from Gunnjorn to open the lighthouse. Go up all the ladders until you come to the top. (If you want you can read books about the lighthouse if you search the bookcases on the second floor). Do these steps to fix the light.

1: Use your swamp tar on the lighting mechanism.
2:Use your tinderbox on the lightning mechanism.
3: Use your molten glass on the lightning mechanism.

If you did it right the lighthouse will be fixed.

The dagonnoth’s lair
Go back down the stairs and then go down the iron ladder. Look for the big door and use your air, earth, fire and water runes on it, also use your sword and arrow on it and it will unlock itself.

Now return to the nearest bank and get ready for the upcoming fight.

Items to take this part: Good food, armor, weapon and maybe some prayer/attack/defense/strength potion if you’re combat lvl is low. You also need the best bow you can wear (and arrows of course) and runes for the best magic spells you can cast.

Go back to the door and go trough the strange wall on the east side. Now go down the ladder and talk to Jossik.

You will be attacked by a lvl 100 dagonnoth. This one is quite easy. Just use protect from melee (if you can) and kill it.

After that a bigger and harder Dagonnoth mother will appear. She will change into different colors to show what she is weak to.

-Orange - Melee attacks
-Green - Ranged attacks
-Brown - Earth spells
-White - Air spells
-Red - Fire spells
-Blue - Water spells

Make sure you attack her with the right spells and attacks or you won’t do much damage at all.

Note: if you are colorblind and you can’t see the difference in the color of the Dagonnoth mother, you can look in the chat box. The colors will be shown there too.

After you defeat her, you will be teleported out of the cave. Talk to Jossik on the second floor and choose the god that you like Quest completed!

Reward:
6,224 Magic, Ranged and Strength experience and a damaged book of the god you chose. When wielded you get a +5 prayer bonus. You can complete these books by adding god pages that you can get from treasure trails. You can also buy them from other players. When completed you have an unholy book (Zamorak), holy book (saradomin) or a balanced book (guthix).
